My career in sales began in 1991 when I broke the state record for Boy Scout popcorn sales. I badly wanted a Nintendo, but my parents wouldn't buy me one. So my tenacity apparently started at a young age, as I proceeded to sell enough Boy Scout popcorn to earn one. After helping me deliver popcorn every night for 3 weeks, I am sure I tested my parents' patience...

Years later, I still enjoy being in sales as a Broker with VanBuskirk Commercial Real Estate in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with a focus on retail, office and industrial development.

I work with all types of clients, from small locally-owned businesses to large national tenants. I pride myself on making each transaction as smooth as possible. I bring considerable experience in deal negotiations and have the unique ability to see the "bigger vision" while being able to manage the small details of a project.

After obtaining a Business degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, I went on to receive an MBA from the University of Sioux Falls.

I have served on several boards and committees over the years, including Sioux Falls Rotary West, Great Plains Zoo, South Dakota Advertising Federation, Dakota Business Finance, Hilltop Methodist Finance Committee and Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps (Rockford, IL). I am also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and El Riad Shrine.

I enjoy spending my spare time at Lake Okoboji with my wife Sara and our beautiful children, Harper (12), Emerson (10) and Henry (6).
